Philanthropic Partnership and April 12 event with Arlene Dickinson

The Institute is launching a philanthropic partnership with the Community Foundation Grey Bruce https://www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com and establishing the Institute of Southern Georgian Bay Endowed Fund in support of its mission.

Residents across the region are supporting this permanent endowment, which will grant out to organizations working on important collaborative projects to help achieve the Institute’s vision of harnessing the power of people and place to be the smartest, greenest, healthiest, and most caring region in Ontario. We have also created a flow-through fund, which will support the Institute’s upcoming Speaker Series. For more information, please contact [email protected].

Community Foundation Grey Bruce kicks off its 25th anniversary year with an impactful evening featuring a Canadian thought leader.

Arlene Dickinson will speak about entrepreneurship, inspiring youth in a changing workplace, women in business and her commitment to community philanthropy.

Arlene Dickinson is one of Canada’s most renowned independent marketing communications entrepreneurs. As CEO of Venture Communications, her creative and strategic approach has turned the company into a powerhouse with a blue-chip client list. She is also a general partner in District Ventures Capital, a fund investing in Canadian companies in the food and health sectors.

Dickinson is best known to Canadians as one of the venture capitalists on the award-winning series Dragons’ Den and her new CBC primetime show called Under New Management. She is the author of two bestselling books—Persuasion, and her most recent bestselling release, All In.
